Why a survey, if the online quote is already accurate?
Our online quote is a genuine, itemised calculation — not a rough guess — but it can't see your actual property. A survey confirms details the room-by-room questions can't capture: exact pipe run distances between indoor and outdoor units, wall construction for mounting, access for outdoor unit placement, and any electrical work needed beyond what's already priced in.
What our engineer checks
Room dimensions and layout against what you entered online, the best position for indoor and outdoor units, cable and pipe routing, your existing electrical supply, and — for supply-only orders — confirming your installer's F-Gas certification details.
How to prepare
Have your online quote reference handy, think about where you'd ideally like indoor units positioned (our engineer will advise if there's a better option), and make sure access to your electrical consumer unit is clear. That's genuinely all that's needed — the rest is our job.
